To Encounter Jesus in the prayer room in a deeply personal way that transforms us with fresh vision and intensity to love and worship Him. We can touch His heart through worship, meditation and contemplative prayer.

“One thing I have asked of the Lord, that will I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.” [Psalm 27:4]

To engage in Governmental Intercession. True reformation of our city, state and nation will be born out of a spiritual shift. The spiritual atmosphere must be altered through sustained fasting and prayer. Government intercession goes beyond political issues. We contend for His kingdom and rule to be established on the earth. “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.”

To cultivate a life-style of Prayer-Activism. Our mandate is not just to prayer, but to action that mirrors our passion and zeal for God.

“As you go, preach this message, ‘The kingdom of heaven is near,’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” [Matthew 10:7-9]

The Lord has called forth a generation of warriors that will contend for the plans and purposes of our Lord and King. IHOP-Springfield was established to help equip, encourage and establish His Forerunners to walk in their calling.

“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the LORD, to serve Him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants–Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant–Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:6-7
